If you have decided to make your wedding special there are other elements that you might consider such as wedding party jewelry so that your girls present a united look.  You can choose to drape the aisle with tulle to increase the drama of your walk down the aisle.   Beautiful bows will finish the look of the tulle draping or adding a long stemmed flower with a nice bow on it will also do the trick.

A unity candle ceremony is often added and then you will need to get a unity candle set and unity candle holders.  As you can see there are many aspects to a great wedding ceremony and all the accessories that you might need.  Online shopping makes your job easier when buying these essentials and is almost always cheaper than conventional shopping.

One of the universal items for weddings and reception is ribbon and tulle.  Using tulle to decorate your pews with swags or making a tulle pouf to act as a backpiece to pew decorations  are common uses.

organza-by-the-bolt1Wedding reception decorations will be a big part of your reception costs. Are you going over the top or keeping it simple.

Draping is one way of adding an elegance to a venue by camoflouging unsightly walls or ceilings of a room. Buying large amounts of tulle or organza on bolts need not be so costly that you can’t afford to look at this beautiful option. Giving the illusion of tenting can be acheived by starting at the center of your rooms ceiling and using tulle going out to the sides of the room and down the sides of the room. The panels can have space between them as they reach the walls to give that look. Tulle is easier to use than organza and cheaper too. If you are just going to drape walls you might want the more expensive organza. Measure top to bottom of walls and cut your fabric about 6-12 inches longer depending on how much you will use for pocket to hang fabric on- a wire along the wall or tubing for a sturdier effect. If your fabric is 54 inches wide you can figure each panel will cover 45 inches as it does not need to be gathered very much at all.

sd531501Wedding reception decorations can be overwhelming and very expensive. Most brides want that tall ‘over the top’ centerpiece on all the tables.

Reception supplies for those can be found for a fraction of the cost oh having them professionally done. Look for a good tall centerpiece vase at an affordable price ($16-$25 each). Then decide what you want to fill it with – fresh or synthetic flowers or branches such as manzita. Fresh flowers can be purchased from a wholesale flower source at a fraction of what a florist charges and a freeform floral arrangement can be very charming. Using tulle to tie bows around these centerpieces is an inexpensive way to make a bow and it is the easiest to use.

img_7181In figuring costs for your wedding keep in mind that the size of your bridal party affects your costs. While most bridesmaids buy their own dresses and groomsmen rent their tuxedos you will still have the cost of bouquets and boutonierres.

Making nosegay bouquets are easy to do. Just gather the flowers you are going to use in your hand, then relax slightly allowing the flowers to align naturally. Now tighten the stems together and wrap with ribbon or simply tie with a tulle bow around them. You can cut the costs of wedding ceremony accessories by approximately 50% on bouquets by making them yourself.
