A flowergirl basket carried by the flower girl has a unique place in the wedding ceremony.  This little girl and her flower basket will be the last person in the wedding party to precede the bride down the aisle.

Todays bride is all about color and being unique from every other bride whether it be in her color choices or styles of accessories.  Choosing a flowergirl basket, ring pillow and guest book set that are color co-ordinated to carry out the color scheme of the wedding will not only give color to the wedding ceremony but give a glimpse of the colors that can be expected at the reception.

Irridescent Colors in Jewelry

When choosing your jewelry and your bridesmaid jewelry sets you might want to consider an irridescent crystal stone.  These sets are more commonly referred to as “Aurora Borealis”.

A color that is hard to match is the perfect choice for the aurora borealis bridesmaid jewelry sets since this stone reflects the colors around it.  Rather than getting a colored stone that either is the wrong shade or does not blend well the aurora borealis is the perfect choice.  It will reflect the color of your bridesmaids gowns while still having a “crystal” look .

Ring Pillows in Glorious Color

Ring pillows are a time honored part of the wedding ceremony.  Choosing ring pillows with color will highlight your chosen colors in your ceremony.

Pink and chocolate are great colors together and offer a lot of contrast.  Ring pillows that have these colors in them have a distinctive flair apart from the traditional white satin ring pillow.  Since chocolate is such a strong color a pale delicate pink works better than a brighter pink.  This is one way of bringing in color to your ceremony as well as your reception.

Choosing Your Unity Candle

Are you having a unity candle lighting as part of your ceremony?  This is a unique and momentous way of symbolizing your love for each other.

Choosing your unity candle will reflect your tastes.  A hand carved candle shows that your love is unique and special.   A solid pillar decorated with specialty ribbon decoration may be just the ticket for you.  Unity candles that have a verse inscribed in them do not usually show up as well for the guests  as a decorated unity candle or hand carved candle.  Your unity candle holder can be a 3 in 1 holder or 3 separate pieces that you will be able to use after the ceremony in your new home.

Your reception will be the finishing touch to your wedding ceremony.  You can really let your personality shine with the decorations you choose for this great party.

If you want to save money yet still have an outstanding look think about choosing crystal jewels to scatter on your tables.  You can avoid an overlay if you choose to do this.  If you want the look of diamonds choose a tablecloth with color so these jewels stand out.  If you  choose a white tablecloth think about colored table jewels to add color.  You can add table jewels for less than the cost of an overlay and add lots of sparkle to your party.

In 2010 the trend will be for lots of color in weddings and wedding receptions.  In choosing your colors the range  is endless and will fit every bride.

Wedding reception accessories in bright colorful accents such as wall and ceiling draping will be more popular than ever.  If you are thinking about pink as your main color consider a bright pink and pair it will a more neutral color such as sage green or chocolate.  Another  tip inchoosing your wedding reception accessories is to add touches of metallic fabrics of gold or silver.  These brighter colors will make the brides gown stand out in all its pristine beauty.

Let Your Wedding Guests Express Themselves

Shortly after I proposed to her, my then-fiancée and I sat down to plan our wedding. In truth, she did most of the planning with her mother and I did a lot of nodding. Still, I managed to contribute a few solid ideas. Foremost among them was the thought to purchase a wedding guest book online and to lay it out for our friends and family to sign before the ceremony.

From my experience attending weddings in the past, I had noticed that the bride and groom are often too busy to spend much time with any one guest. I imagined that a wedding day could seem like a blur of fuzzy memories thanks to all the excitement and confusion. A guest book offers a lasting testament as to who showed up to the wedding and the wishes they impart to the bride and groom.

Wedding Garter Traditions & Significance

In the 14th century it was the custom for the bride to toss her garter to the male guests.  This was changed to the bouquet toss because frequently the male guests got so drunk they would try to remove the garter ahead of time.  American weddings have revived the garter toss for quite some time.

Garters are considered essential wedding accessories by brides today.  Wearing something blue is often used in garters with a blue garter or a small blue bow on the garter.  The color blue represents Constancy and Loyalty.  Choosing garters that have not only the toss garter but also a keepsake garter for the groom are becoming the most popular choice with brides today.

Choosing Your Unity Candle

Choosing your unity candle set will depend on the type of ceremony that you are having.  A candle with a verse on it will not be able to be read by the guests.  Instead a unity candle set that is decorated with ribbon embellishments or is extravagantly hand carved will make more of an impact.

A unity candle set that has a satin bow with other embellishments on it is a cost effective way to add this important statement to your ceremony.  Hand carved unity candle sets are more costly and more often used in a formal setting.  Either way, your wedding will be a day to remember the joining of two lives as one.

Crystal Bridal Jewelry Sets

Bridal jewelry sets that use crystals to enhance a metal setting can be stunning and unique.  Most bridal gowns use crystals in their design and this type of bridal jewelry sets will accent the gown extremely well.

Crystal bridal jewelry sets use Austrian or Swarovski crystals instead of the traditional rhinestone which does not have the sparkle of the crystal.  In fact most “rhinestone” jewelry today is made with crystals.   A style like the one shown at the left has a pleasing floral and vine design that blends with the designs used in most bridal gowns and adds to the overall style and put together look.
